Tip
Minnesota Department of Health lists mayonnaise as an acceptable suffocant for treating head lice. Oil and petroleum jelly are listed as well. A think coating is necessary, and because you're not actually poisoning the lice you have a higher margin of error. That said, suffocating them with an oily product can and has worked for many people. It's worth a try if you're particularly adverse to using harsh chemicals.
Recipe
" Mars Bar" Bars
3 Mars bars
1/3 cup butter
3 cups Rice Krispies
2 cups chocolate chips
In large saucepan, cut up Mars bars and melt with butter.
Stir in Rice Krispies and press mixture into a buttered 8 inch square pan.
Melt chocolate chips and spread over Rice Krispies mixture.
After chocolate sets, cut into squares
