Facts
3medium size bananas weigh approximately 1 pound.
A cluster of bananas is called a hand and consists of 10 to 20 bananas, which are known as fingers.
As bananas ripen, the starch in the fruit turns to sugar. Therefore, the riper the banana the sweeter it will taste.
Bananas are a good source of vitamin C, potassium and dietary fiber.

Tip
Take the bite out of poison ivy. Rub the inside of a banana peel onto the poison ivy area and the itching should stop and the inflammation will go down. Reapply as needed. This is a great reason to pack a few banana’s on that camping or hiking trip.

3 Banana Savers

3 bananas

3 wooden pop sticks

2 1-1/2 oz. chocolate bars

1 tbsp. chopped nuts, crispy rice cereal, granola, or shredded coconut (optional)
1. Peel bananas and gently push craft stick about 1 1/2 inches into end of each banana.
2. Place bananas in your Banana Saver. Freeze 1-2 hours or until firm.3. Place the chocolate bars in a microwave-proof bowl and cook on high for about 2 minutes, or until the chocolate melts. Check after one minute. Stir in the nuts, cereal, or coconut. 4. Using a butter knife, spread the chocolate mixture over the frozen bananas to coat them completely. Place on wax paper-covered tray.
Freeze your leftovers in a Banana Saver.
