Tip
Cucumbers
Growing cucumbers is actually quite easy but if you live in the city, growing cucumbers can often be dissappointing.
Avoid watering your cucumbers with water that has chlorine added and your cucumber vines will thrive greatly! The chlorine is one reason why so many container cucumbers die off quickly.
Recipe
Cucumber Salsa
1 small cucumber, peeled, seeded, finely diced
1 plum tomato, finely diced
1 green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon each: minced cilantro, sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon each: minced garlic, minced jalapeno,
salt 1/8 teaspoon each: ground cumin, white pepper
mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and adjust seasonings.
