National Geographic BEST pictures for the year.

National Geographic BEST pictures for the year.

Quote by~Mark Twain
Clothes make the man,Naked people have
Little or no influence on Society.

Fact
Celtic warriors sometimes fought their battles naked,
their bodies dyed blue from head to toe.
Hilter was voted Time Magazine's man of the year in 1938. Destruction of the Berlin Wall began when private citizens began to demolish entire sections of the Wall without interference from government officials on November 9, 1989.
1944 the town of Bunol, which is near Valencia, Spain has a festival called "Tomatina." The festival occurs once a year on the last Wednesday of the month of August. People have a huge food fight and throw tomatoes at each other, and this festival is considered the world's largest food fight. The first state to give the right to women to vote was Wyoming.
Tips
Prevent thread from Tangling
Use a fabric softener sheet to keep your thread from tangling! Before you start to sew, rub the Bounce sheet along the thread - you'll find it much easier to work with.
Keep those things white white
Add 1/2 cup 20 mule team borax along with bleach and laundry detergent to keep white things white. Of course remember Hot water with whites whenever you're washing.

Irish Brown Soda BreadMakes one loaf

1 ½ cup unbleached all purpose flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

½ cup rolled oats

¼ cup toasted wheat germ

1 ½ teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon kosher salt

½ stick cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

1 ½ cups buttermilk

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Lightly flour a baking sheet.2. Blend together flours, oats, wheat germ, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Add butter and blend in with your fingertips until mixture resembles crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir until dough is evenly moistened.3. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for a minute or two. Form dough into a ball and pat into an 8 inch round on the baking sheet. Cut a shallow X on the top of the dough and poke a small hole in all four sections of the loaf.4. Bake bread for 35 minutes or until golden brown and bottom sounds hollow when tapped. http://www.readymade.com/blogs/readymade/2009/07/09/irish-brown-bread-from-charleston-crepe-company/?sssdmh=dm17.391248&esrc=nwrmu06_10c&email=689402338
