Tiny Houses

Tiny Houses

and

I hope you all have a wonderful, fun weekend!

Quote By~Flavia Weedn

If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces , never be afraid to pick one of those pieces up and begin again.

Its a fact:

The Venus Fly Trap feeds primarily on ants not flies.

The original American Express card was purple for 11 years until it was made green in 1969. The five interlocking Olympic rings are black, blue, red, white and yellow because at least one of these colors appears on every national flag.

Donald Duncan, of Duncan Yo-Yo fame, was also responsible marketing the first parking meters. The smell of Crayola crayons is so familar that it is one of the the top 20 most recognized scents to American adults.

Tip
Clean mouse with a removable tracking ball, use a 50/50 vinegar-water solution to clean it. First, remove the ball from underneath the mouse by twisting off the cover over it. Use a cloth, dampened with the solution and wrung out, to wipe the ball clean and to remove fingerprints and dirt from the mouse itself. Then use a moistened cotton swab to clean out the gunk and debris from inside the ball chamber (let it dry a couple of hours before reinserting the ball).

Recipe

Pickled Carrot SticksAdapted from Gourmet Magazine

1 lb carrot, cut into 3 1/2- by 1/3-inch sticks

1 1/4 cups water

1 cup cider or plain vinegar

(the former makes a sweeter, milder brine)

1/4 cup sugar

2 garlic cloves, lightly crushed

1 1/2 tablespoons dill seeds

*1 1/2 tablespoons salt
Place carrots in a heatproof bowl.

Bring remaining ingredients to a boil in saucepan,

then reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.

Pour pickling liquid over carrots and cool, uncovered.

Chill carrots, covered, at least 1 day for flavors to develop.

Carrots keep, chilled in an airtight container, 1 month.
*. If you can’t find them, use fresh or dried dill instead. You can put the dried dill in with the brine as you boil it. If fresh dill, I would drop it in the container your are storing the carrots in, just before you put them in the fridge.
