Email, like paper letters delivered by
horseback,The new pony express has become an unproductivity tool and may just
be the biggest time killer in the modern workplace.
Quote by Mark Twain
"There were about eighty pony riders in the
saddle all the time, night and day, stretching in a long,
scattering
procession from Missouri to California, forty flying eastward, and forty toward the west, and among them making
four hundred gallant horses earn a stirring livelihood and see a deal of scenery every single day of the year.”

four hundred gallant horses earn a stirring livelihood and see a deal of scenery every single day of the year.”
Fact
Pony Express had more than 100 stations, 80
riders, and between 400 and 500 horses. The express route was extremely
hazardous, but only one mail delivery was ever lost. The service lasted only 19
months until October 24, 1861, when the completion of the Pacific Telegraph line
ended the need for its existence. Although California relied upon news from the
Pony Express during the early days of the Civil War, the horse line was never a
financial success, leading its founders to bankruptcy. However, the romantic
drama surrounding the Pony Express has made it a part of the legend of the
American West.
Tip
The next time you have green onions, don't throw
away the white ends. Put them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny
window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested
almost indefinitely.
