Recipe
Sand dollar Cookies

2 sticks or 1 cup unsalted butter, soft
3/4 cup Dixie Crystals® Confectioners Powdered Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour (Spoon and sweep method*)
3/4 cup Dixie Crystals® Extra Fine Granulated Sugar, for décor
* Using a large spoon, fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Mix soft butter and confectioner's sugar until creamy and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and salt. Add flour in one step and mix until just combined.
Scoop dough with a small ice cream scoop or use a soup spoon. Make even round balls. Press each ball flat into granulated sugar and place on a lightly buttered or parchment lined cookie sheet. Place in oven and bake until the cookies are very light golden.
