Christmas Angels

Christmas Angels
When the angels saw Christ born on the face of earth, they became happy. They flew around the earth and sang beautifully. Their song was intended to offer thanks to almighty God for his wonderful gift of His son Jesus Christ.

Quote by~Burton Hillis
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy
family all wrapped up in each other.

Word Christmas is Old English, a contraction of Christ's Mass.
Electric lights for trees were first used in 1895.
The Nutcracker" is the most famous Christmas ballet.

Mexico, wearing red underwear on New Year's Eve is said to bring new love in the upcoming year.
With your old christmas cards. Make gift tags
Either use the front of the card whole, punch a hole in it and tie it to your package with a ribbon, or cut out the trees, snowmen, Santas and do the same. You can also use this artwork to decorate packages you've wrapped in kraft paper.

Cranberry tarts or Pie
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp allspice
1 large apple (peeled, cored and diced)
3 clementines (or tangerines)
1 cup cranberries
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Uncooked tart pastry or Pie Crust
Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and apple in a heavy saucepan.
Wash clementines, remove stem and cut in half. Chop into pieces and remove the seeds, but leave the peel on. Chop the unpeeled clementines in a blender or food processor (use metal blades).
Add clementines, plus cranberries and pecans to the saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst. Cool.
You can prepare the mixture in advance and use it in tarts or to make a pie with a latticed top.
For the pie, cook at 400 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes. For tarts, cook at 400 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes (until the edges are slightly brown).
