Dreaming of a white Christmas

S.Calif got a little bit of snow .
What a shock to see it coming down with the rain.

If you don't follow your dream, who will?

Facts
Andrew Johnson held every elective office at the local, state, and federal level, including President of the United States. He was elected alderman, mayor, state representative, and state senator from Greeneville. He served as governor and military governor of Tennessee and United States congressman, senator, and vice president, becoming President of the United States following the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
In addition, Andrew Johnson is the only ex-President to serve in the Senate.

Recipe
Baked Sweet Potato Sticks
1 sweet potato or yam (about 1 lb.)
1 tbsp. Salted Sweet Cream Butter, melted
2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
With a vegetable cleaning brush, scrub potato well. Cut potato lengthwise into 1/2-in. wide sticks using a sharp knife or a French fry grid. Transfer sticks to a medium bowl and, using hands, toss with melted butter; sprinkle with nutmeg and salt.Arrange spears, skin side down, 1 in. apart on a baking sheet. Bake in a 425° oven for 20 minutes or until tender.

Rocky Road Granola Clusters
1 (16-oz.) package chocolate candy coating, chopped
2 tablespoons shortening
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 to 3 cups coarsely chopped granola bars
3/4 cup sesame sticks or thin pretzels
3 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted
1 cup miniature marshmallows
12 caramels, chopped
Combine chocolate coating and shortening in a large microwave-safe bowl; cover loosely with heavy-duty plastic wrap. Microwave at HIGH 11/2 minutes or until melted, stirring once. Stir in peanut butter. Let stand 2 minutes. Stir in granola bars, sesame sticks, and almonds. Stir in marshmallows and caramels last so they don't melt. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto parchment or wax paper. Let clusters stand until firm.

Tip
String silver-colored buttons on heavy thread to create garland for the Christmas tree. Use large glass beads for spacing between the buttons. Enhance a simple container of evergreen foliage by placing a mirror underneath. Arrange glittery ornaments at the base of the container to complete the setting. Tie ribbons on holiday cookie cutters, and hang them in varying lengths in your kitchen windows. Purchase several votive candles in a holiday scent—such as sugar cookie, cinnamon, or gingerbread—to make your home as fragrant as Santa's kitchen.
