Facts Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881, in the city of Malaga in Spain.
According to his mother, his first words were ‘piz piz’, which meant pencil in Spanish.
During World War II, Picasso who resided in Paris then was banned from exhibiting his art as his art forms did not confirm to the Nazi views on art.
Paintings rendered in shades of blue and green characterize the Blue Period of Pablo Picasso's works. A stark use of color, gloom and blindness were some of the features of Picasso's paintings of the Blue period. The Rose Period bore paintings rendered in cheerful colors like pink and orange. Many of his paintings of the Rose period depicted his warm relationship with Fernande Olivier. Picasso's paintings of the African-influenced period show an influence of the African artifacts. Cubism reflects the use of monochrome brownish and neutral colors.

Chinese Fried Rice
Ingredients
2 oz Pork, chopped or cut into 2 inch strips
1/2 cup Fresh or frozen peas (if peas are fresh, chill first)
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp Oil, preferably peanut
2 Eggs; lightly beaten
2 cup Long-Grain Rice, cooked, preferable day old
4 oz Fresh Bean sprouts
Directions
1. Heat wok or a dry skillet, when pan starts smoking, spread peanut oil into pan.
2. Add beaten eggs, cook, stirring constantly. Remove from wok and set aside.
3. Pour off all but 2 tablespoons of oil from the wok.
4. Add rice, pork and peas and stir-fry for about 2 minutes.
5. Pour in soy sauce, stir-fry for another minute.6. Return the cooked eggs to the wok.
